What happened to the building ?

In 2015 ideas were collected within the framework of an international competition to refresh the building that will be more suitable for the context. Several great ideas were proposed by international studios, unfortunately the jury couldn’t find a suitable one.

An independent architect was pointed for the development who discovered the weak state of the building structure. The building were demolished and the better fitting Hültl design was rebuilt.

An installation has been developed incorporating both benches to sit and vertical elements to give inforation to the community. A vertical pattern was developed from the character of the building while the column characters and interior elements are brought back by the relief motives.
